Sadhvi Pragya Thakur told the court that she is being subjected to acute mental and physical torture and ill-treatment by the Anti-Hindu Congress-NCP controlled Maharashtra ATS. She is been given inhumane treatment and drugged over and over in the name of Narco tests to force confess something which most probably she has not done. Even if she has, such inhumane treatment is being meted out to her despite being a woman. Earlier Lt. Col. Purohit, another falsely accused Hindu had informed his lawyers of being tortured by the ATS. This is complete Human Rights and Civil Rights violation and Hon'ble court should take due cognizance of this.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, arrested in the Malegaon blast case, has filed an affidavit in a Nashik court saying she was physically and verbally abused and traumatised to the extent that she wanted to commit suicide. She also demanded ATS officers, who questioned and allegedly beat her in custody, be subjected to narco analysis and polygraph tests to establish the truth. The ATS, however, has denied the allegations.
Pragya told the court she was abused and tortured physically. Her relatives moved an application before the court alleging they weren’t allowed to meet her in jail. Umesh Walzade, Pragya’s lawyer, filed the affidavit on behalf of her. The sadhvi, in her affidavit, said during her “illegal detention” at the ATS headquarters in Mumbai, she was beaten day and night. “On two occasions I was even woken up in the early hours of the morning and questioned about my knowledge of the Malegaon blast. I was beaten by a senior officer having moustache, whom I can identify. I was subjected to vulgar abuse and obscene language by members of ATS.”
This is a disgrace that a woman and that too a Sadhvi is mistreated, harassed and tortured in a country which once held women and its seers with highest honor. Those officers abusing the Sadhvi should be arrested and brought to books.
She has not even been read out and informed by the police, by the hounding government or even by her own lawyers of the charges being levied on her. She is not informed about the submissions made in her name which were done in a language, English in this case, that she cannot even understand. How fair is this?
The sadhvi asked the court to provide her the Hindi translation of the submission made by her lawyers, which was in English, as she could not understand it. "Mujhe maloom nahin mera kasoor kya hai (I do not know what is my crime)," she told the court.
Sadhvi's lawyer Ganesh Sovani said that she was assaulted by an officer named Kanvikar.
Is this democracy? Is this constitutional to charge someone and drug them repeatedly to make them confess of crimes for sham political gains? Just because she is a Hindu, she is being harassed like this. It is no ones guess that Hindus or the so-called Majority have no rights in India.
