Interesting articles of the day 3/13/2009

Spread The Word

Following are interesting articles of the day (March 13, 2009) which affect Hindus and their rights directly or indirectly. Also, some general articles. All the articles with my views on some of them.

  1. Video: Congress corruption: Bribe Muslims after attacking Hindus

  2. Bangla infiltrators kidnapping and selling hindu women into prostitution

  3. Video: Candid Narendra Modi on fire in Thane

  4. thank you, chidambaram: UPA leaves India in a fiscal bind comparable to 1991

  5. `Pak has used militancy as a tool of foreign policy' says US

  6. Rs13000 recovered from Shahabuddin in jail
RJD MP Mohd Shahabuddin, undergoing life imprisonment in a kidnapping and suspected murder case, was caught on the wrong side of the law yet again when a raid on Siwan jail resulted in recovery of Rs 13,000 allegedly from him on Friday.

The raid conducted by a team led by superintendent of police Amit Jain also led to the seizure of five mobile phones, ganja and perfume bottles from the bush behind ward number 21 and 24, official sources said.

Shahabuddin was sentenced to life imprisonment on May 8, 2007 in connection with the kidnapping and suspected murder of CPI-ML worker Chote Lal Gupta on February 7, 1999.

He has also been sentenced to imprisonment in a few more cases for various durations, including the one involving an attack on the then Siwan Superintendent of Police S K Singhal on May 3, 1996.
What a shame! Why isn't he dismissed from his MP post and barred from holding any public office? Election Commission should just suspend such corrupt politicians with criminal background, suspend their party from contesting elections and debar them along with their children from holding any public office for next 2 generations. That would teach them.

  7. Tamil Nadu Lawyers’ mutiny – the Church’s first big step

  10. CNN-IBN can dance for the secular party

  11. no, this was not written by james astill, that's why it criticizes the kkkangress

  12. Qaida-Taliban's links with LeT worry India
The emerging operational links between al-Qaida-Taliban and Pakistan's Punjab-centric jihadi groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish are a serious concern for India as these groups begin to use elements of Qaida's strategic thinking and planning in terror attacks on the Indian mainland.

The "hand" of al-Qaida was detected in the Mumbai attacks with regard to the direct and bold launch of marine jihadis and the targeting of a little-known Jewish enclave besides the high-profile Taj and Oberoi hotels. The Qaida link has not been established but 26/11 did mark a quantum jump in LeT's tactics and objectives.

  13. SC: Killing in self-defence is one's right
A person can kill another when there exists a reasonable apprehension that his adversary is going to cause him/her grievous injury even though he might not have actually inflicted any, the Supreme Court ruled.

"In that event he can go the extent of causing the latter's death in the exercise of the right of private (self) defence even though the latter may not have inflicted any blow or injury on him," a Bench of Justices Dalveer Bhandari and H S Bedi observed.

  14. Congress renominates controversial Mani Kumar Subba from Tezpur
Controversial Congress MP from Tezpur Mani Kumar Subba has been renominated by the party to contest the same seat this time.

The dispute over Subba's citizenship, which had prompted interventions by the Supreme Court, made waves in 2008. According to a petition, he is actually a citizen of Nepal. However, his name featured among the 11 candidates from Assam announced by the party on Thursday.
Shame on congress for giving a foreigner the ticket to contest election in India. This is not it, we noted in "Interesting articles of the day 2/27/2009" that they have also done this in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, where they gave ticket to another foreigner, a Congress leader and MP Mr. Madhu Yashki Goud.

  15. Professor Lalu Yadav, Railway berths and RTI

  16. Govinda Corruption: Distributes money like Mulayam to influence voters

What a looser! Did nothing in his constituency for 5 years and never cared to attend the parliament, what else can we expect from such people.

  18. Amar defends Mulayam, walks out of TV show
Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Amar Singh has defended the distribution of money at the Saifai meeting where party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav was also present.

Amar Singh claimed that the money was a Holi gift to Mulayam's extended family.
Extended family... what an excuse. The looser walked out of the show, couldn't face the truth!

  19. Radical Islam.. truly a stone age religion

  20. Muslim extremists disrupt homecoming parade of British troops

    • Luton parade protesters 'were members of extremist group'
The anti-war protesters who sparked outrage by disrupting a homecoming parade of British troops have links to Muslim extremist groups, it has emerged.

The demonstrators included members of a group called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, whic is thought to have been formed by former members of Omar Bakri Mohammed's radical Islamist organisation al-Muhajiroun.
Like I said before... "London Bridge is burning down..."

  21. 27-year-old Dalit set ablaze in Uttar Pradesh
Ram Sagar, 27, was set ablaze in Saraibibi village of Sitapur district, about 80 km from here on Wednesday.

"Raj Kishore, Sushil and Rajesh of the same village took Sagar along with them and set him on fire after pouring kerosene on him," police inspector R.P. Shahi said.

He said Sagar threatened to expose the three men after they stole a hand pump from a brick kiln. All the four men were employed in the brick kiln in Ludahaura village of Sitapur.
Contrary to the misleading headline, it seems that the heinous act had nothing to do with the victim being a dalit or that it was a hate crime but the pseudo-secular media has to give it it's usual twist of caste-based victimhood. Frankly, I don't even know how they can tag the victim as dalit just by looking at his name. Caste system or Varna vyavastha was never birth-based but Karm (work, job, choice) based to structure the society by bringing in equality. It's over a period of time with the decay of society, corruption of minds of those who misused the system and now section of politicians & media who are not letting this evil die, that it has been turned into something exactly opposite to what it's original state was. They don't care to find out the main intention behind equality based caste system but want to ingrain and perpetuate the abused format by playing divisive quota politics and through unethical journalism.
