The very fact that these Indian Hindu citizens are called "Refugees" in their own country is a blot on the so-called Indian Democracy. We don't need a voting fraud to prove it. But anyways, Please watch the following documentary "How Ohio Pulled it Off" which shows how easy it is to hack Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). It shows testimony given by various Computer Scientists, NASA's Ex-employee, etc testifying that electronic voting cannot be trusted and votes can be flipped easily. NASA's Ex-employee actually shows how it is done.

But in Monarchy ruled Bharat, its just another day. Everything is fine because the empress won. Its a Democracy on paper but not followed in letter and spirit.

Verdict 2009 is out and I am frustrated too. I can't believe this. Things are just not adding up. We, at least I was blindly believing whatever, not to name any names, BJP senior karyakartas, campaign managers and spokespersons were saying about the ground realities, through Youtube videos, Daily Pioneer (I feel its the only unbiased newspaper in Bharat) and various Blogs. I was certainly not believing what majority of Indian media was saying because it is clearly 100% Pro-Congress. Why else do you think most of them got Padma Shri and a bailout package? Even damn NPR in US was interviewing Yogendra Yadav as a renowned psephologist, I mean give me a break. So then who was lying and/or was completely oblivious about the ground reality: media or BJP karyakarta?

The point is it can't just be media (although its a main cause certainly) and it certainly can't be Mr. Modi as some within the BJP are blaming to be which is completely ridiculous as the guy has done miracles in terms of development in Gujarat. Lets not be like Congress. If it wins then its because of Sonia & Rahul magic but if it loses then people are stupid, communal and it was because of Sardarji.

I guess the reason for BJP's loss is because of its party infighting, over confidence, no counter argument except silence of approval when defamed & slandered as "communal" or "persona non grata" for Muslims by media & congress openly on various TV debates, not being able to reach the masses effectively in time, confusion over successions (democratically not monarchically), lack of portrayal of young faces and most certainly biased CEC Navin Chawla. Please don't take me wrong. BJP is definitely more democratically structured than Congress's heir apparent monarchic structure. Its the ego of its own people which is not in BJP's control.

I mean seriously, 20 seats for Congress in UP now being credited to useless Rahul, the guy has not made even a single useful statement or speech in 5 years. He was partying till 5 AM on the night of 26/11 terrorist attack for God Sakes. Samuel Reddy voted back into power in Andhra. DMK wins in TN. Naveen in Odisha.

This just doesn't add up. I hope these were fair elections and no manipulation/rigging or EVM malfunctions happened, although I doubt that no malfunctions happened. I mean seriously, you want me to believe that Election Commission of India has strict Quality Control guidelines when their website for Electoral Name Checks was not working from the first day and Election Results website was down within first hour of going Live. May be they should outsource it some private Indian company because latter is certainly not going to get any business from overtly protectionist US, thanks to Obama. An action which will be countered by Sardarji's awesome one solution for all: Live in denial and things will improve automagically. Amazingly it is working out for them quite good. I am sorry BJP but this formula doesn't work for us because we are not "seculars" as we believe in Karm, Bhakti and Gyan Yog.

But seriously, what has happened is no less than a nightmare to say the least.

We did our Karm but the results are not in our hands. May be we didn't do our Karm better than the others. So we have to continue and build BJP again ground up in all the states. And seriously please hold on to the Assembly states that you are in right now, please don't goof up like Rajasthan and try to get in the states that you are not in, even if it means sitting in opposition. It may take time but BJP can attract/recruit young blood as there is no dearth of that.

Make the states that you are ruling an example model states like Gujarat that people will be forced to elect development over vote bank and advertise it in time, positively and please don't loose those states.

Please clear the misunderstanding people have about BJP like Kandahar, Parliament, Communal face, association with hooligans of SR Sene, no young blood, etc. more aggressively to the masses. Please continue with LK Advani forums & blogs as one of the medium for feedback from those who are privileged to access Internet in Bharat (number of privilidged masses ain't going to improve much under corrupt Congress in next 5 yrs) and outside. Please continue with connect with the masses exercises like Friends of BJP events, Bloggers for BJP and Advani@Campus. We started these very late. Had this been started more than a year ago, it would have had some very positive ripple effects. Certainly continuing with it now will have positive ripple effects for future. So please don't abandon them.

Too sad its certainly going to be an uphill task to save Shri Ram Sethu and Sanatan Vedic Dharm/Sanskruti. But we have done it in the past and by God's grace we will do it again. Just focus on development and cultural rejuvenation (civilly) in the states that you already have and don't let them go because of party infighting or corruption.

However, the first thing that BJP needs to do is to pull up its socks, don't let the sense of demoralization set in its Karyakata and Supporters/Voters like they did in 2004. We were so shocked and demoralized what had hit us that BJP was not on political map as it didn't accept the ground reality for over a year. Please send clear messages and put up offensive brave face and continue to build party base. Congress has proved lie said a thousand times becomes the truth and that is what BJP needs to do but the opposite. Say the truth a thousand times and people will eventually see it in clarity. We should have started Manmohan is weak campaign over 2-3 years ago. But no worries, now be so aggressive, hit them where it hurts. They have done that to us too. But make sure your message reaches larger audience and in positive manner. This is the era to be aggressive, offensive and assertive to counter the Christian-Muslim Rightist Congress by being a party for all. Make sure you tell people this because people want to hear it just to be sure as they are too dumb to notice it. But please don't let your party workers be demoralized and your core voters/supporters be disenchanted by this defeat. That would break the very back bone of the party. Some are saying BJP has lost its Urban voters which were its core vote bank, we have to work very hard to earn their respect back.

And watch out for this guy Navin Chawla with hawk eyes and please find out what did Congress know that we didn't about the ground reality.

Please also don't think that since God Shri Krishna said "Karmanye Vadhikaraste..." so we should just take this result as it is, sit on our * and forget about it. Doing no Karm is also a sin and Nishkaam Karm (Adhyay/Chapter 3) doesn't mean doing no Karm.

I have been doing a lot of hard thinking and I couldn't sleep last night. BJP should get those EVMs checked by some third party.

How is it possible that if there was such a high under current in favor of Congress where we and most of the media were supposing it or its Allies will definitely loose in states like AP and TN but they won almost all the seats back or even more than before? Even after so much corruption by Samuel Reddy and A Raja. Money was also used to influence the voters.

20 seats in UP with almost no party infrastructure is almost unbelievable... this one is hard to digest. Even in Gujarat they one 11 seats including important Rajkot, the bastion of BJP. Are you kidding me? What were these people thinking while voting or is it EVM again? Please find out.

Chidambaram lost and then won his seat back after recount? Earlier he didn't loose by 1 or 2 votes. It was a difference of over 20000 votes on an electronic machine. If EVM can be wrong in that case then why not in other cases also?

How is that Kapil Sibal and other spokesperson including NDTV were projecting almost exact figures that Congress won? Clearly they knew something that BJP didn't. I can understand if it was a ballpark difference of 20-30 seats here or there but almost exact/accurate numbers? Kapil Sibal himself was having such a hard time in Chandni Chowk against Mr. Gupta but he still won again.

EVMs are not allowed even in most of US elections because they can be hacked or reprogrammed. Or if it is used, there is always some paper trail as a hard evidence. But in India, nothing. EVMs are nothing but magic of bytes. How can you be sure that the party that you voted for actually got the vote? Some will say, if we had to manipulate or rig the result then we would have gotten complete majority or 300 seats. That's absurd because that would attract even more attention. So you would rather keep the result subtle but enough to claim majority.

Look at it this way, only those allies that Congress claimed in the end during the elections that they are its allies got majority or won again. Like DMK and TMC. Rest lost. And lost Badly.

If we all got it right that Left is going loose, SP is going to loose, RJD is going to loose, why couldn't we get that Samuel Reddy of AP is going to win with even more seats than before.

If we let this one go without a fight. Think about it. With Navin Chawla at helms, every other election can be rigged the same way. The odds stacked against BJP will be much high and even more than what they are now since they have tasted the blood (figuratively).

How can you win a duel when the referee (EC) is from the other team?

But if these results are really genuine, which I seriously doubt, then someone was completely misinformed and lied to his Commander-in-Chief and to us who supported and worked in our capacity for Dharm (Morality, Ethics, Righteousness) in this battle.

Looking at all this it seems Congress didn't loose anywhere because of Anti-Incumbency. Seriously, what are Indians made of steel or they have no standards that nothing affects them?

I am absolutely shocked and appalled at the verdict that people of Bharat (if its not rigged that is) may have delivered in General Elections 2009. Even more than Verdict of 2004. I could understand that in 2004 they didn't know how to compare NDA's comparatively stellar governance to anything else unless they try someone else. So they might have voted Utterly Pathetic Alliance (UPA) led by Muslim-Christian Rightist Congress into power. Just like people of Bihar didn't know what was development until they voted BJP-JD(U) alliance into power ending LalLoo Yadav's 15 years long dictatorial streak.

But now even when the comparison between NDA and UPA was as stark as a full moon in clear sky. Bharatvaasi have still given over 190 seats to congress even after its ridiculous manifesto full of divisive Muslim vote bank appeasement entitlement promises, dynastic nepotist monarchic politics, worst recession ever in 60 years, Shunya infrastructural development, over 45 major terrorist attacks, no finance minister for 150 days, openly Anti-Hindu stand, divisive policies to destroy and toxify education system, devaluation of constitutional bodies, unimaginable corruption, etc.

I mean even one of these issues in any sensible society will be a reason enough to throw out an incumbent government. But no, Bharatvaasi choose to give them almost full majority and almost less than 100 seats to nationalist BJP.

I am sorry to say but India’s future is doomed. There goes our dream of saving and protecting World's Historic Ancient Monument & Heritage, an engineering marvel: Shri Ram Sethu.

Has anyone noticed that ever since the Live simultaneous Exit Polls were banned from the last assembly elections in 2008, BJP has been only marginally winning in its so-called stronghold but loosing in new places unlike countless elections before that in which it on a winning roll. And Congress was on a loosing spree until 2007 assembly elections but suddenly it is back with a big bang. Something is not right here.

Why can't they ask voters to stamp the vote sheet to put in a ballot box as before in addition to EVMs. At least there is a fall back available in case of re-count scenario. Sad. Very sad! Truly a Black Day in the contemporary history (post so-called 1947 Independence) of Bharat only after Dictatorial Emergency of 1976 imposed by Indira Nehru Feroz Gandhi of the same Congress. But now is the time of Rome Raaj. And the nightmare begins, again.

However, on the other hand, look at it this way. Even if after all these debacles careless people still voted for Congress triumphantly, then here is another good news for these imprudent people to celebrate: Congress's victory coincides with revelation of first swine flu case in Bharat, in Bhagmati (misnomer: Hyderabad). All the more reason to merry. Right?

But seriously, WE need to continue with our selfless efforts to save Bharat, its history, its culture, its unity and integrity.

"The secular face of any government is reflected in its programmes, and the NDA government of Bihar has established its secular credentials by its performance during the last three and a half years of its rule in the state," said Nitish.

General Secretary of the BJP, Ravi Shankar Prasad, criticised the Congress and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not tackling the issue of price rise. He said that the PM is looking dejected, pessimistic and defeated in the press conference that he addressed in Ludhiana. Speaking on Nitish's praise by the Congress, he said that Congress is speaking in two voices on the JD(U) leader. He said, "While Rahul praised Nitish, their Prime Ministerial candidate is criticising him."

Criticising the UPA, he said that unlike UPA its allies have stood by them. The BJP leader said that the Congress cannot run coalition politics since it is family centric, while BJP has emerged as a front-runner with optimism and hope.

Over 1,100 candidates fighting Lok Sabha elections have criminal cases registered against them with Congress topping the list of such nominees, a report claimed on Monday.

Out of a total 7,450 candidates whose affidavits were studied, 1,140 have criminal cases against them, the report prepared by Association of Democratic Reforms and National Election Watch said, adding this accounts for 15.1 per cent of the total contestants.

The Congress party has topped the list with 114 such candidates closely followed by BJP (113) and BSP (105). The Samajwadi Party has 55 candidates with criminal records while CPI(M) has 20 and CPI seven.

According to the study, 499 candidates are charged with heinous crime and Congress and BSP are on the top in this list with 43 candidates each followed by BJP (41) and SP(33).

PM’s intolerable moralising

Manmohan Singh persists with his sanctimonious, self-righteous and intolerably smug pronouncements although his sententiousness increasingly rings hollow. One comment of the Prime Minister stands out for its sheer duplicity in the waffle that was billed as an exclusive interview by the Hindustan Times last week. It first pertains to India being shamed before the world on account of the riots that occurred in Gujarat in 2002.

“The image of India took a beating when the BJP tried to impose a monolithic view on the entire country. If people with extremist and bigoted views come to power, India’s image as a great, liberal, plural and secular democracy will be hurt,” Mr Singh told the newspaper. Such high falutin statements would no doubt impress those who can see nothing wrong with the Congress and a Prime Minister who has cravenly served the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty instead of performing his prime ministerial duties. Public memory being notoriously short, many would fail to recall the Congress’s innumerable sins of omission and commission. Those who came of age this general election would know even less about the Congress’s tainted past.

But since Mr Singh has chosen to raise the issue of “the image of India” taking “a beating”, it would be in order to record that the nation’s image has suffered far worse when the Congress has been in power. If the shine was lost when the BJP was in power — as the Prime Minister claims it was — it hasn’t exactly been restored with him at the helm of the UPA Government. We shall come to this later.

The violence in Gujarat was not, contrary to Mr Singh’s mumbo-jumbo, triggered by the BJP trying to “impose a monolithic view on the entire country”. That’s nothing but a crass attempt to re-write history, something in which the Congress excels, along with its admirers in the Left. The riots followed the torching of two bogeys of the Sabarmati Express, in which Hindu pilgrims were travelling, by a Muslim mob at Godhra on February 27, 2002. In the blaze 58 people were killed — 23 men, 15 women and 20 children. According to a statement made by Mr Singh’s Government in the Rajya Sabha, 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus died in the subsequent rioting; 223 people were reported ‘missing’ and 2,548 sustained injuries. Clearly this wasn’t about the BJP “imposing a monolithic view on the entire country”.

If India’s image “took a beating”, as Mr Singh says it did, it was on account of the lies that were forged in the laboratory of neo-Goebbelsian propaganda owned by Teesta Setalvad and publicised as facts by the Congress and its drum-beaters in the media. Horror stories of murder, rape and pillage were put out that have now been found to be untrue. The report of the Special Investigation Team, set up by the Supreme Court, details instances of these lies. The Prime Minister has surely read the report, which, among other things, mentions how identical statements were prepared by Teesta Setalvad and ‘eyewitnesses’ were bullied into signing them. If India stands shamed, it is on account of amoral politicians and crafty activists slyly suppressing facts and manufacturing lies.

And, if the post-Godhra violence, in which both Muslims and Hindus died, resulted in India’s image taking a beating, then the nation’s image was tarnished beyond repair by the numerous riots since 1947 that resulted in thousands of deaths in States ruled by the Congress. We could go back to the distant past and recall the several riots that occurred in Gujarat when the Congress was in power and in which the death toll surpassed that of 2002.

Or we could go back to 1989 when the Congress Government in Bihar did nothing to quell the Bhagalpur riots in which, according to official figures, 1,070 people were killed and 524 injured. For the benefit of Mr Singh, it should also be recalled that 11,500 houses were destroyed, displacing 48,000 people, in those riots that couldn’t have enhanced, by his own logic, India’s image. Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav, who subsequently came to power in Bihar, did nothing to prosecute the guilty or follow-up on eyewitness accounts; that task has now been taken up by the JD(U)-BJP Government. Mr Yadav, as we all know, is a senior Cabinet colleague of Mr Singh. Interestingly, participating in a parliamentary debate soon after the Bhagalpur riots, Mr Yadav had squarely blamed the Congress for the terrible blood-letting. “It is the Congress that has engineered most of the riots,” he had thundered. Of course, he wouldn’t recall that speech today.

We could also recall the Nellie massacre of February 18, 1983 in which 2,191 men, women and children, some of them suckling infants, were slain in cold blood. Doubts still persist about the actual death toll; survivors insist at least 5,000 people perished in that pre-dawn slaughter. That carnage could have been averted had Mrs Indira Gandhi, of whom Mr Singh no doubt cherishes fond memories, not insisted upon holding a bogus Assembly election amid the anti-foreigners’ agitation because she wanted the incumbent Congress Government in Assam to continue to remain in power. Nellie could not have given India a good name.

Mr Singh feigns amnesia, but he needs to be told that India did not quite come out smelling of roses after the 1984 pogrom in which more than 4,000 Sikhs were brutally murdered by Congress hoodlums led by those whom the party now lists as its ‘leaders’ and rewards them with tickets to contest parliamentary elections. Twenty-five years later, the victims still wait for justice. As do those who survived the Maliana massacre. Surely Mr Singh has heard of it?

Bring back nation’s loot abroad - Dr.Subramanian Swamy

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy, President of the Janata Party and former Union Commerce Minister, at Chandigarh on May 6, 2009.

1. The Janata Party is in a national alliance with BJP, and I have already campaigned for BJP Lok Sabha candidates in Tamil Nadu, Delhi. I am here in Chandigarh to campaign for Satyapal Jain.

2. The Janata Party supports the BJP because the two parties share a common ideology and political ancestry. Also, the JP agrees with the BJP manifesto’s correct identification of the three main challenges facing the country today: viz., Economic Development, National Security, and Good Governance.

3. The Congress Party is bankrupt of ideas and unable to face these challenges. The Party has no economic programme except for some ad hoc measures which have been ineffective.

4. Its leadership is singularly inept in handling the problem of terrorism and national security because the party is dominated by leaders with terrorist links, be it with LeT, LTTE, or Naxalites. It is truly mystifying for example, how the widow of Rajiv Gandhi (who was assassinated by the LTTE), can possibly have an alliance with pro-LTTE parties in Tamil Nadu which parties openly justify the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. No Indian widow would ever have anything to do with such parties. But then Ms. Gandhi is not an Indian except on a technicality.

5. On Governance, the UPA has failed to do its duty to take effective steps to bring back lakhs of crores of rupees kept abroad in illegal bank accounts. This is because its top leaders have secret accounts abroad. Even the Supreme Court has expressed dissatisfaction over the UPA government’s dilly dallying on this issue. The nation is today shocked by the leniency shown to and abetment of Quattrocchi

4. In 2002, I had provided (see www.janataparty. org & click on “Know Your Sonia”) details on how to find out the illegal bank accounts of Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi{see Annexures}.

5. Principally, from the Marcos investigation, the Swiss authorities in 1991 came to know that Ms. Sonia Gandhi was the beneficiary of Rs.10,000 crores belonging to the Nehrus. Moreover, a Russian Commission of Inquiry Report had disclosed that Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul were recipients of KGB funds. Recently, the Volcker Report of the UN revealed that the Congresss Party was paid funds by Saddam Hussein. Although Natwar Singh was probed for his name also being in the Report, the nation still needs to know who had authorized the Congress Party, if not Ms. Gandhi as President, to accept the tainted money – This was never investigated.

6. In September 2001, Rahul Gandhi and his lady friend, Veronique were arrested by the FBI of USA in Boston airport for carrying US$1,60,000 in cash without declaring it in US Customs. How can he carry so much cash if he is honest?

7. Since the Maino family fund manager is Quattrocchi, and hence he has to be set free now in a hurry before a successor government prosecutes him after May 16th.

8. Both Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s and Rahul Gandhi’s bland denials of any wrong doing cannot be accepted for two reasons: First, when these charges were made in a full page advertisement taken out by some NRIs in the New York Times, the Congress Party branch in New York had sued for defamation, claiming Rs.500 crores as damages. But the New York State Supreme Court dismissed the suit because Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi failed to appear and lead evidence. Second, both Ms. Gandhi and her son have been caught lying on their real name and educational qualification. Since these lies were on affidavit, therefore it is perjury. Hence, denials of perjurors cannot be accepted. An investigation is necessary.

9. Shri.L.K. Advani was therefore perfectly justified in demanding that Congress Party come clean on the Swiss bank accounts, and that the Government make efforts to bring back the lakhs of crores of rupees back to India. The JP hopes that a patriotic government headed by BJP will therefore be formed after May 16th, and the nation’s loot abroad can be brought back.

“Madam Sonia, SP and BSP only indulge in vote bank politics. BJP is the only political party in the country which believes in politics of development,” the Gujarat Chief Minister said at an election rally here.

“What has the politics of vote bank given us in the past 60 years. People still do not have water to drink, no roofs over their head and no proper education for children,” he added. The BJP star campaigner said “one family” had ruled the country on the basis of vote bank politics but gave nothing to Muslims in return.

The only way to get rid of this politics was to support the “politics of development as was currently visible in Gujarat.”Despite the gloomy picture presented about Muslims in Gujarat, the Muslims of Gujarat have the maximum per capita income in the country,” he claimed.

Continuing his tirade against Manmohan Singh, Modi said that the Prime Minister feels bad when he is termed as “weak” but he should have taken a “bold” initiative against Pakistan “which only understood the language of force” and proved otherwise.

“The issue is not his health but his style of functioning. One of his union ministers Ram Vilas Paswan had been demanding voting rights for Bangladeshi infiltrators. If he (Manmohan Singh) was strong then he should have removed him immediately,” Modi said.

The BJP leader said that the local Muslim population in Assam was worried about the influx of Bangladeshis as they (infiltrators) took over all the employment opportunities of locals. Attacking the UPA government on the Sachar Committee report, Modi alleged that the ruling alliance was trying to “exploit Muslim sentiments without taking concrete steps on development issues”.

Criticising Singh’s remark that minorities had the first right on national resources, Modi said, “Congress believes Muslims have the first right on national resources but we believe that the poor belonging to any religion have the first right on it. If you believe me vote for us. If you don’t defeat my party.”

Summary of BJP’s IT Vision Document –Benefitting Rural India

Following steps would be taken by the BJP led NDA government at centre :

1. Will generate 1.20 Crore new IT-enabled jobs in rural areas. This will be achieved by way of at least 20 jobs in each of the aprox 600000 villages in the country. A series of initiatives have been devised to make this a realty.

2. Raise farm productivity, bring cost of cultivation down and increase Kisans’ income using IT for water conservation, soil enrichment, procurement, marketing, credit needs of Kisans, waste elimination and taking R&D from ‘lab to land’.

3. Internet in every town and village – with unlimited upload and download data transfer limits

4. Every BPL (Below Poverty Line) family to be given free smart mobile phone – Free of cost.

5. 100% financial inclusion through Bank accounts, with eBanking facilities for all Indian Citizens. Direct transfer of welfare funds.

6. Providing highest standard Medical Services under eHealthcare initiative – using video conferencing facilities, without the need to travel to Big cities for medical treatment. This is known as Telemedicine. The BJP led government will use IT to provide best medical services to Rural India.

7. Land and property records to be computerized to reduce the number of disputes / litigation due to non-clarity of land records in rural areas.

8. Panchayats will be able to communicate between themselves, free of cost!

9. Purchase of Railway and Bus tickets from the Internet in their own villages!

10. All courts to be computerized for faster decision on cases and clearing of back log..

11. All Citizen to have free call facility to call their areas M.P.. This will be a 24 Hours facility. This will be helpful in their discussing the problems with their elected representative.

12. Under eGovernance for Good Governance – Making available government services online and in local languages in every village & town.

13. Implementing ‘E Gram Vishwa Gram’ : Gujrat’s pioneering project that BJP ledges to implement nationwide – This project aims at providing broadband connectivity to all gram panchayats. Video conferencing facilities at all the villages. Gram Panchayat to issue citizen related documents and certificates, application forms including 7 / 12 certificates to farmers from Panchayats.

14. The use of IT will help in better communication from Rural areas to City Government, State Government and even the centre government. This will reduce corruption ,since all transactions between government and citizens will be computerized.

15. Under eDevelopment for all – To provide Information required by Farmers (About markets, inputs, farm operations, government schemes etc) to be provided through digital platforms – at Panchayat level only.

16. National skill development mission to increase the number of skilled workers from 8% currently to 20% in five years of BJP led NDA rule. Climate change also to be addressed with green technologies.

17. A great initiative planned by BJP led NDA government – eBhasha – National Mission for promotion of IT in Indian Languages – All softwares sold in India would have to be compatible with all 22 official languages. This will go a long way in e-enabling our rural India and ensure deeper penetration of IT / Internet which will help in much faster development of the Rural India< /span>.

The BJP & NDA seek the support of India & Bharat in the coming elections. We assure you a future NDA Government will implement this IT vision with the speed, vigour, ambition and determination to uplift the rural economy for a sustainable growth of Bharat.

Dear Countrymen,

Namaskar. My hearty greetings and best wishes for you, your family and your friends.

The process of electing the 15th Lok Sabha has begun. The people of India once again have an opportunity to decide the fate of our great nation. Democracy is superior to other forms of government because it allows the praja to elect the raja. However, remember one thing. To vote is not only a fundamental right, it is also a sacred duty. Therefore, first of all, I appeal to you to cast your vote without fail.

Today India is facing severe and multiple challenges, both internal and external. The wrong policies and weak leadership of the Congress-led UPA government have aggravated the problems before the nation. The aam aadmi, to whom tall promises were made five years ago, is feeling thoroughly betrayed.

The government’s biggest failure has been in checking the prices of essential commodities and services. Rice, wheat, dal, cooking oil, sugar, milk, vegetables – the prices of all these have touched the sky. Which mother can be happy if her children go hungry? Yet, crores of poor children suffer from hunger and malnutrition in our country.

The government had promised to create one crore jobs each year. Far from creating new jobs, it created a severe economic crisis. More than one crore jobs have been lost in the last year alone. I am especially pained to see that the future of our young people is clouded by uncertainty and despair.

Thousands of debt-ridden farmers have committed suicide to escape their misery. This is a national shame. The rural-urban divide, as well as the poor-rich divide, have become wider than ever before. According to a former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, the wealth of 20 richest Kubers in India is more than the earnings of 30 crore poorest Sudamas. This, you will agree with me, is simply unacceptable.

Several vital infrastructure development schemes, such as the National Highway Development Project and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, both initiated by the BJP-led NDA government headed by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, have been neglected. Acute shortage of power has stunted India.

Corruption in the central government reached unprecedented levels. Parliament witnessed a shocking scandal of political corruption last year, when the government resorted to unethical means to prove its majority. Even the high office of Prime Minister has been devalued.

Cross-border terrorism claimed more innocent lives in the past five years than at any time in the past. Blinded by its own vote-bank considerations, those in power showed no political will to fight terrorism.

The situation in India’s immediate neighbourhood is deteriorating. Anti-India forces are on the rise and getting closer to our border. This poses a serious threat to our national security.

Thus, at a time when India is facing both internal and external challenges, it simply cannot afford to have another indecisive government with a weak leadership.

My dear countrymen,

My party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, and our partners in the National Democratic Alliance, are seeking your mandate by committing ourselves to the principles of GOOD GOVERNANCE, DEVELOPMENT & SECURITY.

A future NDA government, if elected, will adopt a “Zero Tolerance” approach to fighting terrorism.

We shall combat corruption, especially in high places, so that the poor get the full benefit of the public funds spent for their welfare.

The performance of our state governments in Bihar, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, has attracted widespread admiration.

Let me mention today some of our important promises to the people of India.

Making India hunger-free is our priority. Therefore, we shall provide 35kg of rice or wheat every month at Rs 2 per kg to all BPL families.

I have seen a tremendous desire for development in all sections of society, both in rural and urban areas. Our people’s priorities are bijlee, sadak, paani, swasthya, shiksha and, above all, employment. These are also my priorities. Our commitment is: Har haath ko kaam, Har khet ko paani.

Our most ambitious project will be linking of rivers. This was initiated by the NDA government, but completely abandoned by the UPA government. We promise to make the right to clean water a fundamental right.

Expanding and modernizing India’s badly neglected infrastructure is a task we shall take up on a war footing. This will boost economic growth and generate crores of new employment opportunities. In this, we shall give special attention to those states and regions of India, which have remained backward and neglected.

There will be no more any delays in the completion of highway and rural roads projects. We shall also quadruple power generation and ensure adequate power supply to every farm, every factory, and every home.

Internet is one of the greatest inventions in mankind’s history. I believe that the rural population should not be deprived of the revolutionary benefits of Information Technology. Therefore, we will provide affordable broadband Internet connectivity to every village. All educational institutions will have Internet-enabled education in their respective Indian languages. We have drawn up a plan to create 1.2 crore IT-enabled jobs in rural areas.

Jai Jawan Jai Kisan is a slogan that still touches the heart of every patriotic Indian. We have responded to the longpending demand of ex-servicemen by promising them one rank one pension.

We shall waive agricultural loans. We shall provide farm loans at 4% interest rate. Our hard-working kisans will get fair and remunerative prices for all their crops.

Women’s education and welfare have always been close to my heart. We will introduce the ‘Ladli Lakshmi’ Scheme to enable every girl child to go to school. Under this scheme, every girl will receive Rs. 1.18 lakh after 12th standard.

We shall exempt personal Income Tax for those earning up to Rs 3 lakh per annum. For women and Senior Citizens, the exemption will be Rs 3.5 lakh per annum. This will benefit over 3.5 crore people.

We will double the salaries of 28 lakh Anganwadi workers and helpers.

Today I wish to make another solemn commitment. We will take firm steps to bring back Indian money stashed away in foreign banks. Estimated at Rs. 25 lakh crore, this amount will be enough to complete road and power connectivity throughout the country. It is sufficient to allocate Rs 4 crore to every Indian village. It can be used for ambitious national projects, such as cleaning the sacred Ganga and other rivers.

The BJP and NDA are deeply committed to the principle of ‘Justice for All and Discrimination against None’. We shall work tirelessly for the welfare and empowerment of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, and the poor in all sections of society, including the religious minorities.

We want to extend the benefit of reservations for the economically backward sections in all those communities, which are not so far covered by the policy of reservations.

To fulfill these promises is my solemn assurance to you. Today India deserves a strong and stable government, which follows the right policies and implements them with honesty and a sense of urgency. Electing such a government with a decisive mandate is the single most important task before the voters. Give our alliance a decisive victory. It will not be our victory, but your victory and India’s victory.

Since my student days, I have believed that India has the potential to emerge as a leading nation in the world, a land of peace, prosperity, justice and social harmony. This belief has strengthened with every passing year. It is my conviction that together we can make, the 21st century India’s century.
