Dr Subramanian Swamy's letter against Sonia Gandhi to President Abdul Kalam in 2004

Spread The Word

Dr Subramanian Swamy letter against Sonia Gandhi to President Abdul Kalam in 2004

FIRST APPEAL UNDER SECTION 19(1) OF RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT

Smt Rasika Chaube

Joint Secretary & Appellate Authority

President’s Secretariat

Rashtrapati Bhawan

New Delhi-110004

Sir

I vide my RTI petition dated 11.04.2012 sought complete and detailed information together with related documents/file-notings/correspondence etc on under-mentioned aspects relating to formation of government at the centre when Dr Manmohansingh was appointed Prime Minister for the first time in the year 2004:

1. Complete and detailed information together related correspondence/documents/file-notings etc on Honourable President of India inviting Dr Manmohansingh to take charge as Prime Minister of India

2. Copies of letters/correspondence etc by individuals, political parties and others etc staking claim to form the government before Dr Manmohansingh was ultimately invited to form the government

3. Copies of replies, if any, by Honourable President of India and/or President’s Secretariat to any such claims to form the government together with related correspondence/doicuments/file-notings etc

4. Is it true that certain individuals, political parties and/or others etc had objected against some particular person being invited to form the government?

5. If yes, copies of all such letters together with replies, if any, by Honourable President of India and/or President’s Secretariat to any such objections together with related correspondence/doicuments/file-notings etc on drafting such replies

6. Is it true that Dr Subramanium Swamy has also made some correspondence with Honourable President of India and/or President’s Secretariat on the aspect/s referred in queries above?

7. If yes, copies of letters by Dr Subramanium Swamy together with replies if any enclosing also file-notings/correspondence/documents etc on drafting such replies

8. Any other related information

9. File-notings on movement of this RTI petition also

Learned CPIO vide response number 0062/RTI/04/12-13 dated 26th April 2012 declined information on points (6) and (7) exempted under section 8(1)(e) of RTI Act. It is surprising that when author of the letter namely Dr Subramanium Swamy is openly revealing through media about contents of the letter, how President’s Secretariat could claim information to be fiduciary in nature! Significantly CPIO has himself confessed that the then Honourable President of India exercised his to appoint thr Prime Minister based on that letter. At the most, CPIO could invite ‘Third Party’ comments under section 11 of RTI Act on disclosing the said letter from Dr Subramanium Swamy within five days of receipt of RTI petition, which was not done making the provision infructuous now at this stage.

Otherwise also, it is an aspect requiring disclosure under section 8(2) of RTI Act which allows access to information if public-interest outweighs the harm to be protected, because the important issue relates to possible denial of claim for the post of Prime Minister to an Indian citizen and distinguished Parliamentarian as evident from media-reports. People have right to know how and why the claim for the post of Prime Minister by the said dignitary was refused because of objection raised by Dr Subramanium swamy. Honourable Mr Justice S Ravindra Bhatt of Delhi High Court in the matter “Bhagat Singh Vs. CIC (W.P.(C) No.3114/2007)” has held that the Right to Information Act being a right based enactment is akin to a welfare measure and as such should receive liberal interpretation. I appeal that learned CPIO may kindly be directed to provide sought information together with related and sought documents but now to be provided free-of-cost under section 7(6) of RTI Act.

Would Harvard now stop giving courses in Islamic theology?

Spread The Word

===========Forwarded Message===========
To,
Faculty & Staff,
Harvard University

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am absolutely appalled and would like to register my protest against your injudicious and illadvised decision to remove Economics Professor Dr. Subramanian Swamy from teaching roster. (http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2011/12/7/faculty-final-meeting/) Dr. Swamy is not some unknown new figure at Harvard rather a respected faculty member, whose so far proud association with the University goes back at least 4 decades. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IteO05kaY-8) I do not find any merit in your argument to classify his article "How to wipe out Islamic terror" as hate speech. Bold and alternative political speech may be, but far from hate speech. (http://janamejayan.wordpress.com/2011/07/29/how-to-wipe-out-islamic-terror-dr-subramaniam-swamy/) He was merely exercising his basic human right of Right to Free Speech guaranteed under our First Amendment, which even protects, as it should, worst of the worse hate speeches. With all due respect, your unwise decision smacks of clear ideological and selection biases, and decision process influenced by emotions and various cognitive traps such as anchoring and confirming evidence.

Expression of Free Speech especially alternative Political & Religious viewpoints are basic human needs and these should not be denied to anyone. Political and Hate Speech are both protected under First Amendment as they are subjective. Because who is to decide what is hate speech and what is not? You, me or other Harvard faculty? Just because I don't agree with what some other person said in his personal capacity, I have no Right to discriminate against him because of his political or religious views. It is very unfortunate that some of the Harvard faculty members have allegedly let their personal ideology and religious biases affect their professional decision making process. It a matter of shame and grave concern that Harvard has reprimanded Dr. Swamy for his protected political speech, which he gave in a different country on a topic which is completely unrelated to what he teaches at Harvard in the US.

Dr. Swamy is an Economics professor and Harvard administration has a right to judge his subject knowledge merits and teaching history only. Certainly not on the basis of what religious or political ideology he ascribes to or on grounds of his protected political speech. It is an alleged case of discrimination based on political ideology and civil liberties violated. This is a very bad precedence unwittingly set by Harvard which may have a chilling effect on the campus as student and faculty will now be scared to freely share and speak alternative viewpoints. Best way to deal with hate speech is either debate it or ignore it. Harvard allegedly did neither in case of Dr. Swamy. If the faculty found his views distasteful, why didn't they challenge him for an open debate to publicly present and defend his views rather than unilaterally punishing him for speaking his mind in personal capacity? This may set an unhealthy precedence as per which every Harvard faculty member may now be held accountable and may face excoriation, at the whims of Harvard's few biased faculty members, for anything he or she may say anywhere in world, without being given any fair chance to defend himself or herself. Should all those anti-Swamy faculty members who spearheaded this allegedly prejudicial campaign against Dr. Swamy's free speech be now held accountable in India for what these people say, write or print in the US? Reprehensible. Correct, Dean Pfister?

What is even more ridiculous is that those who decided and coerced other faculty members to drop Dr. Swamy's courses are not even related to his subject of expertise. Could Harvard please explain to us how and why is a History Professor Sugata Bose, known for his far-Left political ideology, deciding if Dr. Swamy should continue to teach Economics? That too when Dr. Swamy wasn't even present there to defend himself. What Economics subject credentials does Prof Bose have to decide Dr. Swamy's courses fate? How Dr. Swamy's personal viewpoints on how to deal with terrorism in India can be used as a yardstick to censor him in the US and throw out his economics courses? How can Dr. Swamy's protected political speech on dealing with terrorism in India influence his capabilities to teach Economics in US? There is no bridge between these two acts then how can he be reprimanded for it? This is essentially Heckler's Veto to curb Dr. Swamy's civil liberties. Will Harvard now reprimand anyone whose political and religious views doesn't align with few of its faculty's political leaning?

It is sad to see that Philosophy Department Chair Sean Kelly got "persuaded" to be part of those who like to censor others protected political speech.

Let us consider the faculty's justification to censor Dr. Swamy. Is the faculty claiming that there is no Islamic terror in the world? As per terrorism research experts, there have been over 18000 Islamic terrorist attacks (small to big events classified by number of people murdered) in the world since 9/11. Just because main stream media doesn't cover all them doesn't mean these attacks aren't happening. I am sure all you learned people have heard of Schrödinger's cat experiment. India has been suffering at the hands of Muslim extremists for over 25 years. Third anniversary of brutal 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai just passed a few days ago. Do you expect Dr. Swamy and other Indians to simply ignore these facts because Harvard faculty is just too uncomfortable and sensitive to face the truth? Political correctness cannot be an excuse for poltroonery and censorship.

Until a few decades ago, it was mostly Pakistan sponsored terrorists attacking India. Since past decade, various domestic terrorist groups like Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Popular Front of India (PFI), Indian Mujahideen, etc. have also started committing terrorist attacks in India. Now it is clear that US citizens are involved in worldwide terrorist activities also. As exposed by PBS Frontline-ProPublica (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/david-headley/
), American-born Dawood Gilani aka David Coleman Headley was one of the main co-conspirators of 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks. He was trained and indoctrinated in Islamic theology by Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Then there is Faisal Shazad (Times Square bomber), Major Nidal Hassan (Fort Hood), Anwar Al-Awaki, Underwear bomber, et.al. Unfortunately they are all self-proclaimed Islamic terrorists. You cannot just brush these facts under the carpet.

It is not Dr. Swamy who is calling Muslim terrorists as Islamic terrorists, rather it is these terrorists themselves who are proudly proclaiming themselves to be Mujahideen i.e. Islamic warriors fighting for Allah.
Then why is Harvard allegedly punishing Dr. Swamy for speaking against these self-proclaimed Islamic warriors? Why is Harvard allegedly shooting the messenger? There is no line, let me say it again, there is no line in that article where Dr. Swamy has "demonized an entire religious community" as terrorists. I am sorry to say but Professor Diana Eck is wrong and her inference is grossly exaggerated. There is no way all of the decision making faculty members could have construed Dr. Swamy's argument as a call for destruction of religious places. This shows a clear case of selection bias and anchoring. Dr. Swamy said the following (an excerpt from the article),

In a brilliant research paper published by Robert Trager and Dessislava Zagorcheva this year (‘Deterring Terrorism’ International Security, vol 30, No 3, Winter 2005/06, pp 87-123) has provided the general principles to structure such a strategy.

Goal-strategy
Applying these principles, I advocate the following strategy to negate the political goals of Islamic terrorism in India, provided the Muslim community fail to condemn these goals and call them un-Islamic:

Goal 2: Blast our temples and kill Hindu devotees.
Strategy: Remove the masjid in Kashi Vishwanath temple complex, and 300 others in other sites as a tit-for-tat.

Dr. Swamy has not proposed that Hindus or Government of India should proactively remove Mosques (aka masjid) rather as a consequence of an unfortunate event (tit-for-tat). As per his proposal, if Islamic terrorists continue to blast Hindu temples and devotees then instead of cowing down, remove their controversial Mosques from encroached land. For those who may not know, Kashi aka Varanasi is the holiest site in the world for Hindus just like Kabba is for Muslims and Wailing wall is for Jews. About 600 years ago a Muslim bandit ruler ordered destruction of Holy Hindu temple of Kashi Vishwanathji and built a Mosque on top of it, compare it to Dome of Rock controversy. Not only at Kashi but Muslim Mughal bandit rulers did the same to prime Hindu temples at other holy sites such as Ayodhya, Mathura, Somnath, etc. Can you see a pattern? Prof Diana Eck is a professor of comparative religious studies, she ought to know better. Rather than thinking rationally, some faculty decision makers seem to have taken an extreme position influenced by an emotional reaction to a rational viewpoint (based on well thought out research).

For the sake of argument let us agree for a moment with the standards that Harvard faculty has applied to misconstrue Dr. Swamy's free speech as hate speech. Then the same standards should be applied to the following,

Quran (2:190-193) - "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you. And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."

Bukhari (2:28) - Women comprise the majority of Hell's occupants.

Quran (9:73) - O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination

Quran (4:56) - Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment Lo! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise

Quran (56:92-94) - But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, then the welcome will be boiling water and roasting at hell-fire

Quran (5:60) - Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah? those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil;- these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!"

Bukhari (59:727) - Allah's Apostle [said]... "Allah's curse be on the Jews and the Christians"

Verse 59:727 was spoken on Mohamed's death bed, and was one of the last things that he ever said. Isn't Mohamed preaching annihilation of non-Muslims? Hasn't Mohamed crossed the line by demonizing an entire non-Muslim religious community and calling for violence against their sacred places? So would the esteemed faculty at Harvard now call for censorship of Quran, Hadith, Sira and other Islamic texts and publicly reprimand Mohamed for hate speech? Would Harvard now stop giving courses in Islamic theology? Would Harvard now cancel classes by Professors who euoligize Mohamed and teach such hate speech? Would Harvard now throw out students who emulate Mohamed? If no then isn't it hypocrisy on part of the same decision making faculty and Harvard administration? Standards set and enforced by the faculty in Dr. Swamy's case should be unambiguously applied in this case also.

Since Harvard is willing to overlook Dr. Swamy's professional accumen and rather use his personal views as a yardstick to decide if he should continue, let us analyze this fallacy also. Dr. Swamy has already publicly clarrified in this interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3lv71xEBs0 that he doesn't have any problem with Muslims. He is one of the most pluralist public figure I have ever known of.
He is a Hindu who is married to a Parsi (Zorashtrian) and one of his daughter is married to a Muslim. Cannot get more Secular than that.

Now lest I am accused of being some fringe Right winger, let me prove my Centrist credentials by giving another rational argument that will sound tune to the Leftist gallery. For those who may not know, Dr. Swamy, as a lawyer, has been spearheading a massive anti-graft lawsuit against some of the most corrupt and powerful politicians and corporates in the world who have allegedly committed at least $50 Billion scam during the distribution 2G spectrum in India. Think of it as the Occupy Wall Street but this one actually works, and has a clear direction and goals. The anti-corruption movement has a leader in Dr. Swamy, who has already fell many politicians, bureaucrats and corporate heads, and there are some big fishes yet to be brought to book. One of the alleged corrupt big fish is ironically a Harvard alumni. Now since Harvard disassociated itself from Dr. Swamy's political viewpoints on terrorism, hence, by applying its faculty's logic as a corollary we can inference that Harvard would not agree with Dr. Swamy's political position on bringing corrupt individuals including the alleged person who is also a Harvard alumni to justice. Therefore, it may be concluded that Harvard supports corruption in Politics and Business. Sounds weird right? Doesn't make sense as this sounds like a far-fetched conclusion. Harvard would never support corruption. So now you can see how some of your biased faculty's emotional argument, that there is a connection between a political speech on the menace of theologically sanctioned terror and teaching economics, sounds-like to a rational mind.

In the end I would like to thank you for reading my protest letter and I hope some sanity will prevail in Harvard administration. I hope that you will promptly apologize to Dr. Subramanian Swamy, reinstate his popular courses without prejudice, and invite him back with all due courtesy. Please null and void this reprehensible precedence set by Harvard, before it is too late. My respects where due as I mean no malice to anyone. Just speaking against the injustice done.

Best Regards,
Seema

MEMORANDUM TO CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA October 13, 2011

Consulate General of India

3 East 64th Street

New York, New York 10065

PROTEST AGAINST UNWARRANTED HARASSMENT OF

DR. SUBRAMANIAN SWAMY, PRESIDENT, JANATA PARTY

Hon. Prabhu Dayal ji: Saadar Namaskar:

We, the undersigned, hereby submit this Memorandum to you to express our disgust and abhorrence against the unwarranted harassment of Dr. Subramanian Swamy, President, Janata Party and a prominent Indian leader who has emerged as the embodiment of resistance against totalitarian and corrupt system.

India is neither a Banana Republic nor a fiefdom of any Dynasty. It is a full-fledged and vibrant democracy in which freedom of diverse views is constitutionally guaranteed to all the citizens.

Dr. Swamy is being hounded by the Governmental agencies for writing an article three months ago in an Indian newspaper in which he had expressed his opinion as to how to solve the problem of Islamic terror in India. In that article he had also appealed to all the Hindus to unite against the challenge of Islamic terrorism. There were no communal disturbances due to that article.

Calling Dr. Swamy “anti-Muslim” is a lie perpetrated by corrupt and anti-nationalists.

It is a matter of great regret and shame that truthful, bold and honest Indian leaders like Dr. Subramanian Swamy are being threatened by Congress volunteers and Jihadists.

It is alleged that under pressure from Home Minister Shri Chidambaram, a frivolous FIR has been registered against Dr. Swamy in New Delhi.

In addition to that India Govt. refuses to act on his request for housing in a safer environment in New Delhi to protect himself and his family from ruffians. Here are some examples of attacks:

Aug 8, 2011: Dr. Swamy’s house in New Delhi was attacked by Congress workers
Feb 21, 2009: Dr. Swamy was physically assaulted in Tamilnadu by lawyers, right in front of High Court Judge.
Oct 25, 2008: Dr. Swamy’s party office was ransacked in Madurai.

The intent behind all the above insidious activities is to muzzle Dr. Swamy’s voice, slander him in the eyes of public and ultimately put him in jail.

We are afraid that once Dr. Swamy is put in the jail, sinister attempt would be hatched to immobilize him physically as well as mentally for ever.

Hence, we request you to please convey our feelings to the Government of India.

We would also like to bring to your attention that our protest should not be construed as an anti-India activity. India is the country of our origin. We assure you that we will never do anything that would bring disrepute or indignity to our Motherland. However, we are compelled by the circumstances to resort to this type of action.

Respectfully yours,

Out of the box - Dr. Subramanian Swamy - Organiser Weekly

Spread The Word

Out of the box - By Dr. Subramanian Swamy
Organiser Weekly, December 21, 2008
The India of today would not have been in existence had the attempts to divide Hindus succeeded.

In the 20th century, a sinister attempt to divide the Hindu community on caste basis was made in 1932 when the British imperialists offered the scheduled castes a separate electorate.

What does the despicable terror and mayhem in Mumbai on November 26 signify for India? Shorn of the human tragedy, wanton destruction, and obnoxious audacity of the terrorists, it signifies a challenge to the identity of India from radical Islam.

Cinema actor Shahrukh Khan may wax eloquent about the "true Islam" on TV, but it is clear that he and other such Muslims have not read any authoritative translations of the Koran, Sira and Hadith which three together constitute Islam as a theology, and which is a complete menu of intolerance of peoples of other faiths derisively labeled as kafirs. Hence, instead of talking about the "correct interpretation" of Islam they ought instead be urging for a new Islamic theology consistent with democratic principles.

In 2003, two years after the 9/11 murderous and perfidious Islamic assault on USA, resulting in killing of more than 3000 persons within two hours, and which was perpetrated by leveraging the democratic freedoms in USA, the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the website of its Islamic Affairs Department [www.iad.org] laid down what a "good" Muslim is expected to do.

Dr. Steven Stalinsky of the Middle East Media Research Institute[MEMRI] based in Washington DC accessed it and published it in issue No.23, of the Institute newsletter, dated November 26[what irony!] 2003. I have to thank a NRI in US, Dr. Muthuswamy for this reference. In that site it is stated:

"The Muslims are required to raise the banner of Jihad in order to make the Word of Allah supreme in this world, to remove all forms of injustice and oppression, and to defend the Muslims. If Muslims do not take up the sword, the evil tyrants of this earth will be able to continue oppressing the weak and helpless"

Now who is more authoritative—Sharukh Khan or Saudi Arabia ? Obviously the latter. The above quote is what in substance is being taught in every madrassa in India, and can be traced back to the sayings of Prophet Mohammed.

I can quote a plethora of verses from a Saudi Arabian translated Koran [e.g., verses 8:12, 8:60, and 33:26] which verses justify brutal violence against non-believers. If I delved into Sira and Hadith for more quotes, then I could risk generating much hatred, so it will suffice to say that Islam is not only a theology, but it spans a brutal political ideology which we have to combat sooner or later in realm of ideas.

Some may quote back at me verses from Manusmriti about brutality to women and scheduled castes. But as a Hindu I have the liberty to disown these verses [since it is a Smriti] and even to seek to re-write a new Smriti as many, for example, Yajnavalkya have done to date. Reform and renaissance is thus inbuilt into Hinduism.

But in Islam, the word of the Prophet is final. Sharukh Khan and other gloss artists cannot disown these verses, or say that they would re-write the offensive verses of the Koran. If they do, then they would have to run for their lives as Rushdie and Taslima have had to do.

Leave alone re-writing, if anyone draws a cartoon of Prophet Mohammed, there will follow world-wide violent rioting. But if Hussein draws Durga in the most pornographic posture, the Hindus will only groan but not violently rampage.

We Hindus have a long recognised tradition of being religious liberals by nature. We have already proved it enough by welcoming to our country and nurturing Parsis, Jews, Syrian Christians, and Moplah Muslim Arabs who were persecuted elsewhere, when we were 100 per cent Hindu country.

Moreover, despite a 1000 years of most savage brutalisation of Hindus by Islamic invaders and self-demeaning brain washing by the Christians, even then, Hindus as a majority have adopted secularism as a creed. We have not asked for an apology and compensation for these atrocities.

But the position of Hindus in this land of Bharatmata, where Muslims and Christians locally are in majority, in pockets—such as in Kashmir and Nagaland, or in small enclaves such as town panchayats of Tamil Nadu, is terrible and despicable. Even in Kerala where Hindus are 52 per cent of the population, they have only 25 per cent of all the prime jobs in the state, and are silently suffering their plight at the hands of 48 per cent who vote as a vote bank.

The 26/11 Mumbai slaughter therefore should teach us Hindus that the time has come to wake up and stand up—it is now or never. If we do not stand up now to Islamic terrorism, then India will end up like Beirut, a permanent battlefield of international terrorists, buccaneers, pirates and missionaries.

What does it mean in the 21st century for Hindus to stand up ? I mean by that a mental clarity of the Hindus to defend themselves by effective deterrent retaliation, and also an intelligent co-option of other religious groups into the Hindu cultural continuum.

Mental clarity can only come if we are clear about the identity of the nation. What is India? An ancient but continuing civilisation or is it a geographical entity incorporated in 1947 by the Indian Independence Act of the British Parliament ?

What then does it mean to say "I am an Indian"? A mere passport holder of the Republic of India or a descendent of the great seers and visionaries of more than 10,000 years ? Obviously our identity should be of a nation of an ancient and continuing Hindu civilisation, legatees of great rishis and munis, and a highly sophisticated sanatana philosophy.

If Hindu culture is our defining identity then how can we co-opt non-Hindus, especially Muslims and Christians ? By persuading them by saam, dhaam, bheda and dand that they acknowledge with pride the truth that their ancestors are Hindus. If they do, it means that they accept Hindu culture and enlightened mores. That is, change of religion does not mean change of culture. Then we should treat such Muslims and Christians as part of our Brihad Hindu family.

Noted author and editor M.J. Akbar calls this identity as of "Blood Brothers". It is an undeniable fact that Muslims and Christians in India are descendents of Hindus. In a recent article in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology, an analysis of genetic samples [DNA] show that Muslims in north India are overwhelmingly of the same DNA as Hindus proving that Muslims here are descendents of Hindus who had been converted to Islam, rather repositories of foreign DNA deposited by waves of invaders.

Akbar thus asks rhetorically: "When have the Muslims of India gone wrong?" and answers: "When they have forgotten their Indian roots". How apt !

Enlightened Muslims like Akbar therefore must rise to the occasion and challenge the reactionary religious fundamentalists. That is India is not Darul Harab to be trifled with.

In a conciliatory atmosphere the minorities would willingly accept this. It is also in their interest to accept this reality. Hindus must persuade by the time honoured methods Muslims and Christians to accept this and its logical consequences.

This identity was not understood by us earlier because of the distorted outlook of Jawaharlal Nehru who occupied the Prime Minister's chair for seventeen formative years after 1947 and for narrow political ends, had fanned a separatist outlook in Muslims and Christians.

The failure to date, to resolve this Nehru created crisis, has not only confused the majority but confounded the minorities as well in India. This confusion has deepened with winter migratory birds such as Amartya Sen descending on the campus of the India International Centre to preach inane taxonomies such as "multiple identities".

There has to be an over-riding identity called national identity, and hence we should not be derailed by pedestrian concepts of multiple or sub-identities.

"Without a resolution of the identity crisis today, which requires an explicit clear answer to this question of who we are, the majority will never understand how to relate to the legacy of the nation and in turn to the minorities.

Minorities would not understand how to adjust with the majority if this identity crisis is not resolved.

In other words, the present dysfunctional perceptional mismatch in understanding who we are as a people, is behind most of the communal tension and inter-community distrust in the country.

"In India, the majority is the conglomerate or Brihad Hindu community which represents about 81 per cent of the total Indian population, while minorities are constituted by Muslims [13 per cent] and Christians [3 per cent]. Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, and some other microscopic religious groups, represent the remaining three per cent.

Though also considered minorities, but really are so close to the majority community in culture that they are considered as a part of Hindu society. Unlike Islam and Christianity, these minority religions were founded as dissenting theologies of Hinduism. Even Zoroaster can be traced to leader of Vahikas in Mahabharata who migrated to Persia. Kaikeyi in Ramayana was from Persia when that country was hundred per cent Hindu. Thus these religions share the core concepts with Hindus such as re-incarnation, equality of all religions, and ability to meet God in this life.

That they feel increasingly alienated from Hindu society nowadays is also the consequence of India's identity crisis caused by British historians and their Indian tutees in JNU.

The India of today would not have been in existence had the attempts to divide Hindus succeeded.

In the 20th century, a sinister attempt to divide the Hindu community on caste basis was made in 1932 when the British imperialists offered the scheduled castes a separate electorate. But shrewdly understanding the conspiracy to divide India, Mahatma Gandhi by his fast unto death and Dr. Ambedkar by his visionary rejection of separate electorate, foiled the attempt by signing the Poona Pact.

But the possibility that such attempts at dividing India socially may be made again in the future, a possibility that cannot be ruled out. Indian patriots will have to watch such attempts very carefully.

Segmentation, fragmentation, and finally balkanisation have been part of the historical process in many countries to destroy national identity and thereby cause the political division of the nation itself. Yugoslavia is a recent example of this, which has now been divided into four countries, largely due to Islamic separatism and Serbian over-reaction.

Virat Hindutva can be achieved in the first stage by Hindu consolidation, that is achieved by Hindus holding that they are Hindus first and last, by disowning primacy to their caste and regional loyalties.

This would require a renaissance in thinking and outlook, that can be fostered only by patient advocacy and intellectual ferment.

For this we need a new History text, and a proper understanding of the distinction between the four varnas [not birth based but by codes of behavior for devolution of power in society] and jati [which is birth based and mostly for marriages].

Just as Valmiki and Vyasa are regarded as Maharshis despite being of different jati from Parasuram, hence Dr. Ambedkar should be called a Maharishi for his sheer depth of knowledge of Indian history.

That he had become bitter because of Nehru systematically sidelining him is no reason not to do so.

India thus needs a Hindu renaissance today that incorporates modern principles, e.g., of the irrelevance of birth antecedents, fostering gender equality, ensuring equality before law, and accountability for all. It is also essential to integrate the entire Indian society on those principles, irrespective of religion.

Uniform Civil Code for example, is something that the vast majority of Muslim women want, but because this demand has been usurped by those who deny the equality of nationality to the Muslims, hence comes the resistance to a eminently reasonable value.

The Muslims think that this is the first step in several to subjugate them or wipe out their identity. But Muslims have quietly accepted Uniform Criminal Code [the IPC] despite that it contradicts the Sharia.

In other words, Hindutva has two components—one that Hindus can accept [such as caste abolition, eradication of dowry etc.] without any other religion's interests to consider. The other is the embracing by minorities of the core secular Indian values which have Hindu roots.

This would require, particularly Muslims and Christians, to acknowledge that their ancestry is Hindu, and thus own the entire Hindu past as their own legacy, and to thus tailor their outlook on that basis. This would integrate Indian society and make the concept of an inclusive[Brihad] Hindutva and rooted in India's continuing civilisation.

Thus, if India has to decide to have or not have good relations with Israel, Pakistan, Iran or US, it cannot be on the basis how it will impact on India's Muslims and Christians, but on what India's national interests require. If India has to dispatch troops to Afghanistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka or Nepal to combat terrorism, that policy too has to be decided on what is good for India, and not what any religious or linguistic group identifies as it's interest.

Thus such an Hindutva is positive in outlook, while raw Hindu xenophobia is negative and based on Hindu hegemony which will frighten all. Such a Hindutva will resolve our current energy-sapping identity crisis, which otherwise will completely emasculate India in the long run.
The choice for the patriotic Indian is thus clear: We need a clear and positive view of our national identity based on our Hindu past and a Hindu renaissance to unite the Hindus with constructive mind-set as well as persuade the minorities to be co-opted culturally with Hindu society.

Once being Indian means Virat Brihad Hindutva, we can tackle terrorism by an effective strategy of defence. What are the components of that strategy is the subject matter of my next column here.

How to wipe out Islamic terror

Spread The Word

As Secular extremist outrage by Anti-Hindu Liberal farts is increasing over this perfectly acceptable exercise of free speech by Dr. Subramaniam Swamy for writing the following article, I am reproducing the article below for posterity in case if DNA chickens out and deletes it from their website. How to wipe out Islamic terror

By Subramanian Swamy | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA
The terrorist blast in Mumbai on July 13, 2011, requires decisive soul-searching by the Hindus of India. Hindus cannot accept to be killed in this halal fashion, continuously bleeding every day till the nation finally collapses. Terrorism I define here as the illegal use of force to overawe the civilian population to make it do or not do an act against its will and well-being.

Islamic terrorism is India’s number one problem of national security. About this there will be no doubt after 2012. By that year, I expect a Taliban takeover in Pakistan and the Americans to flee Afghanistan. Then, Islam will confront Hinduism to “complete unfinished business”. Already the successor to Osama bin Laden as al-Qaeda leader has declared that India is the priority target for that terrorist organisation and not the USA.

Fanatic Muslims consider Hindu-dominated India “an unfinished chapter of Islamic conquests”. All other countries conquered by Islam 100% converted to Islam within two decades of the Islamic invasion. Undivided India in 1947 was 75% Hindu even after 800 years of brutal Islamic rule. That is jarring for the fanatics.

In one sense, I do not blame the Muslim fanatics for targeting Hindus. I blame Hindus who have taken their individuality permitted in Sanatan Dharma to the extreme. Millions of Hindus can assemble without state patronage for the Kumbh Mela, completely self-organised, but they all leave for home oblivious of the targeting of Hindus in Kashmir, Mau, Melvisharam and Malappuram and do not lift their little finger to help organise Hindus. If half the Hindus voted together, rising above caste and language, a genuine Hindu party would have a two-thirds majority in Parliament and the assemblies.

The first lesson to be learnt from the recent history of Islamic terrorism against India and for tackling terrorism in India is that the Hindu is the target and that Muslims of India are being programmed by a slow reactive process to become radical and thus slide into suicide against Hindus. It is to undermine the Hindu psyche and create the fear of civil war that terror attacks are organised.

Hindus must collectively respond as Hindus against the terrorist and not feel individually isolated or, worse, be complacent because he or she is not personally affected. If one Hindu dies merely because he or she was a Hindu, then a bit of every Hindu also dies. This is an essential mental attitude, a necessary part of a virat (committed) Hindu.

We need a collective mindset as Hindus to stand against the Islamic terrorist. The Muslims of India can join us if they genuinely feel for the Hindu. That they do I will not believe unless they acknowledge with pride that though they may be Muslims, their ancestors were Hindus. If any Muslim acknowledges his or her Hindu legacy, then we Hindus can accept him or her as a part of the Brihad Hindu Samaj (greater Hindu society) which is Hindustan. India that is Bharat that is Hindustan is a nation of Hindus and others whose ancestors were Hindus. Others, who refuse to acknowledge this, or those foreigners who become Indian citizens by registration, can remain in India but should not have voting rights (which means they cannot be elected representatives).

Any policy to combat terrorism must begin with requiring each and every Hindu becoming a virat Hindu. For this, one must have a Hindu mindset that recognises that there is vyaktigat charitra (personal character) and rashtriya charitra (national character). For example, Manmohan Singh has high personal character, but by being a rubber stamp of a semi-literate Sonia Gandhi and waffling on all national issues, he has proved that he has no rashtriya charitra.

The second lesson for combating terrorism is that we must never capitulate or concede any demand, as we did in 1989 (freeing five terrorists in exchange for Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s daughter Rubaiya) and in 1999, freeing three terrorists after the hijack of Indian Airlines flight IC-814.

The third lesson is that whatever and however small the terrorist incident, the nation must retaliate massively. For example, when the Ayodhya temple was sought to be attacked, we should have retaliated by re-building the Ram temple at the site.

According to bleeding heart liberals, terrorists are born or bred because of illiteracy, poverty, oppression, and discrimination. They argue that instead of eliminating them, the root cause of these four disabilities in society should be removed. This is rubbish. Osama bin laden was a billionaire. In the failed Times Square episode, failed terrorist Shahzad was from a highly placed family in Pakistan and had an MBA from a reputed US university.

It is also a ridiculous idea that terrorists cannot be deterred because they are irrational and willing to die. Terrorist masterminds have political goals and a method in their madness. An effective strategy to deter terrorism is to defeat those political goals and to rubbish them by counter-terrorist action. Thus, I advocate the following strategy to negate the political goals of Islamic terrorism in India.

Goal 1: Overawe India on Kashmir.
Strategy: Remove Article 370 and resettle ex-servicemen in the valley. Create Panun Kashmir for the Hindu Pandit community. Look for or create an opportunity to take over PoK. If Pakistan continues to back terrorists, assist the Baluchis and Sindhis to get their independence.

Goal 2: Blast temples, kill Hindu devotees.
Strategy: Remove the masjid in Kashi Vishwanath temple and the 300 masjids at other temple sites.

Goal 3: Turn India into Darul Islam.
Strategy: Implement the uniform civil code, make learning of Sanskrit and singing of Vande Mataram mandatory, and declare India a Hindu Rashtra in which non-Hindus can vote only if they proudly acknowledge that their ancestors were Hindus. Rename India Hindustan as a nation of Hindus and those whose ancestors were Hindus.

Goal 4: Change India’s demography by illegal immigration, conversion, and refusal to adopt family planning.
Strategy: Enact a national law prohibiting conversion from Hinduism to any other religion. Re-conversion will not be banned. Declare that caste is not based on birth but on code or discipline. Welcome non-Hindus to re-convert to the caste of their choice provided they adhere to the code of discipline. Annex land from Bangladesh in proportion to the illegal migrants from that country staying in India. At present, the northern third from Sylhet to Khulna can be annexed to re-settle illegal migrants.

Goal 5: Denigrate Hinduism through vulgar writings and preaching in mosques, madrassas, and churches to create loss of self-respect amongst Hindus and make them fit for capitulation.
Strategy: Propagate the development of a Hindu mindset.

India can solve its terrorist problem within five years by such a deterrent strategy, but for that we have to learn the four lessons outlined above, and have a Hindu mindset to take bold, risky, and hard decisions to defend the nation. If the Jews could be transformed from lambs walking meekly to the gas chambers to fiery lions in just 10 years, it should not be difficult for Hindus in much better circumstances (after all we are 83% of India), to do so in five years.

Guru Gobind Singh showed us how just five fearless persons under spiritual guidance can transform a society. Even if half the Hindu voters are persuaded to collectively vote as Hindus, and for a party sincerely committed to a Hindu agenda, then we can forge an instrument for change. And that is the bottom line in the strategy to deter terrorism in a democratic Hindustan at this moment of truth.

Subramanian Swamy endorses Advani as PM

Spread The Word

Noted Economist, Historian, Harvard Faculty, former Union Commerce Minister and a great Hindu Warrior Dr. Subramanian Swamy endorses Mr. Lal Krishna Advani for Bharat's (misnomer: India) next Prime Minister.

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy, President of the Janata Party and former Union Commerce Minister, at Chandigarh on May 6, 2009.

1. The Janata Party is in a national alliance with BJP, and I have already campaigned for BJP Lok Sabha candidates in Tamil Nadu, Delhi. I am here in Chandigarh to campaign for Satyapal Jain.

2. The Janata Party supports the BJP because the two parties share a common ideology and political ancestry. Also, the JP agrees with the BJP manifesto’s correct identification of the three main challenges facing the country today: viz., Economic Development, National Security, and Good Governance.

3. The Congress Party is bankrupt of ideas and unable to face these challenges. The Party has no economic programme except for some ad hoc measures which have been ineffective.

4. Its leadership is singularly inept in handling the problem of terrorism and national security because the party is dominated by leaders with terrorist links, be it with LeT, LTTE, or Naxalites. It is truly mystifying for example, how the widow of Rajiv Gandhi (who was assassinated by the LTTE), can possibly have an alliance with pro-LTTE parties in Tamil Nadu which parties openly justify the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. No Indian widow would ever have anything to do with such parties. But then Ms. Gandhi is not an Indian except on a technicality.

5. On Governance, the UPA has failed to do its duty to take effective steps to bring back lakhs of crores of rupees kept abroad in illegal bank accounts. This is because its top leaders have secret accounts abroad. Even the Supreme Court has expressed dissatisfaction over the UPA government’s dilly dallying on this issue. The nation is today shocked by the leniency shown to and abetment of Quattrocchi

4. In 2002, I had provided (see www.janataparty. org & click on “Know Your Sonia”) details on how to find out the illegal bank accounts of Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi{see Annexures}.

5. Principally, from the Marcos investigation, the Swiss authorities in 1991 came to know that Ms. Sonia Gandhi was the beneficiary of Rs.10,000 crores belonging to the Nehrus. Moreover, a Russian Commission of Inquiry Report had disclosed that Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul were recipients of KGB funds. Recently, the Volcker Report of the UN revealed that the Congresss Party was paid funds by Saddam Hussein. Although Natwar Singh was probed for his name also being in the Report, the nation still needs to know who had authorized the Congress Party, if not Ms. Gandhi as President, to accept the tainted money – This was never investigated.

6. In September 2001, Rahul Gandhi and his lady friend, Veronique were arrested by the FBI of USA in Boston airport for carrying US$1,60,000 in cash without declaring it in US Customs. How can he carry so much cash if he is honest?

7. Since the Maino family fund manager is Quattrocchi, and hence he has to be set free now in a hurry before a successor government prosecutes him after May 16th.

8. Both Ms. Sonia Gandhi’s and Rahul Gandhi’s bland denials of any wrong doing cannot be accepted for two reasons: First, when these charges were made in a full page advertisement taken out by some NRIs in the New York Times, the Congress Party branch in New York had sued for defamation, claiming Rs.500 crores as damages. But the New York State Supreme Court dismissed the suit because Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Rahul Gandhi failed to appear and lead evidence. Second, both Ms. Gandhi and her son have been caught lying on their real name and educational qualification. Since these lies were on affidavit, therefore it is perjury. Hence, denials of perjurors cannot be accepted. An investigation is necessary.

9. Shri.L.K. Advani was therefore perfectly justified in demanding that Congress Party come clean on the Swiss bank accounts, and that the Government make efforts to bring back the lakhs of crores of rupees back to India. The JP hopes that a patriotic government headed by BJP will therefore be formed after May 16th, and the nation’s loot abroad can be brought back.

Subramanian Swamy assaulted in Madras High Court

Spread The Word

What do you get for standing up for the rights of Hindus in Bharat (misnomer: India) especially in Anti-Hindu Pro-LTTE communal bigot Karunanidhi's state of Tamil Nadu? You get what Janata Party president Dr. Subramanian Swamy got as a gratitude for tirelessly working for the cause of Hindus and national integration. In an unprecedented and despicable show of intolerance of some Anti-Brahmin prejudiced & Pro-LTTE terrorists lawyers, a bunch of racist losers, assaulted Dr. Swamy and hurled eggs and invectives on him at the Madras High Court hall in full view of a couple of judges.

Where are the calls for Article 355 now?

Where are the calls to stop Talibanization of Madras/Chennai?

There are severe terror threats to Hindu temples in the country particularly to God Shiv ji's Mandir in Kashi, God Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, God Shri Krishna Mandir in Mathura and other important Mandir in South. There have been news of Tamil Nadu Government scam to grab the Temple lands. Anti-Hindu bigot Karunanidhi's government in collusion with Antonia Maino aka Sonia Gandhi's UPA government have been systematically destroying Hindu heritage from Shri Ram Setu to slandering Hindu Gods. Of course for them, Justice means Vengeance. Recent one is that Anti-Hindu bigot Government is trying to take over prestigious Chidambaram temple. Dr. Swamy is leading the fight in all these important issues including the latest one in which he has opposed the take over of Nataraja temple by Govt.
Opposing the takeover of the administration of the famous Nataraja temple in Chidambaram in Cuddalore district from Dikshitar community by the state government, Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swamy has said that he would implead himself in an appeal proposed by the Dikshitars challenging a single bench Judge's order paving the way for the government take over.

Swamy contended that the judgement of the High Court was deficient and pointed out that a 1952 ruling by the court had held that it is a 'denominational' temple. This was not challenged further."Hence the single Judge verdict is hit by the doctrine of Res Judicata. The court has not property apprceciated the case," he said.

The court, in its order, rejected the plea of the Dikshitar community that the 1,500 year old temple was a private one and they had 'untrammeled rights'. it also upheld the appointment of an executive officer to administer the temple. Swamy said he was competent to file the petition as he had been a former law minister and handled a number of questions relating to temples and in protection of it before various forums.

Swamy said "a petition is pending before the Parliament petition committee, regarding temple affairs in Andhra Pradesh. I have got vast knowledge of this and have to free temples from the clutches of the government."

He pointed out that there is a fundamental difference between temples and masjids and churches. In temples, after 'Pranaprathishta' is done, the place becomes that of God, while it is not so in the others.

Stating that the charges levelled against Dikshitars have not been proved, he pointed out that there are many temples under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department, against which there are allegations.

"The government should concentrate on maintaining law and order and developing the economy. Instead they are trying to manage the temple," he said.

Swamy was here to attend a function at the Ramanujam centre in Sastra University.
In such an Anti-Hindu Talibanized India, I agree with Dr. Swamy that there is a dire need for ‘Hindu vote bank’ more than ever before to protect the rights of Hindus and radically demonized Brahmins.
Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday said the only way to counter vote-bank policies blindly pursued by governments and political parties was to develop a strong and formidable “Hindu vote bank.” It was the only way to check the “continued neglect and subjugation of Hindus and Hindu temples,” he said.

Dr. Swamy criticised the United Progressive Alliance government for its attempt to “bend over backwards” to protect mosques and churches while showing “utter indifference” to protect the Hindu shrines and sentiments.

He was addressing a convention organised by the Andhra Pradesh Hindu Temples Protection Committee.

Dr. Swamy said that though there were 42 mosques in Ayodhya where no prayers were offered, Muslims were laying claim to the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi alone.

Shame on you Karunanidhi and Government of Bharat!

Such Anti-Hindu Anti-Brahmin racist bigots should be debarred from practicing law and sent off to Sri Lanka to live with LTTE terrorist whom they love so much. They should be booked under treason and sedition charges!

Later in the evening, the Bench passed an order that was merely a recap of the incident. They directed the Registry to place a copy of their order before the Acting Chief Justice for appropriate action.

In their order, the judges said that an unruly mob consisting of many advocates entered the court and shouted slogans in support of Sri Lankan Tamils.

    Some members assaulted Swamy.

Similarly, some other members assaulted the police constables.

Some threw rotten eggs inside the court hall and shouted filthy slogans. The slogans included `Brahmin dog down down’

Taking suo motu action, the Bench, in its brief order, narrated the violent incident inside the court hall, stating that a group of advocates entered inside the court hall, raised slogans against Dr Swamy and assaulted him.

They threw eggs on him and abused him, saying ”Papara Naye Veliye Po” (You Brahmin dog...get out of the court), the Bench, comprising Justice P K Misra and Justice K Chandru said.

  13. Lawyer arrested for pelting eggs at Swamy
The high court police on Wednesday night arrested a lawyer, Immanuel, in connection with the incident in which a group of lawyers hurled eggs at Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy inside the Madras high court hall on Tuesday.

Earlier, assistant commissioner of police Khader Moideen lodged a complaint with the city commissioner of police against a group of advocates who had allegedly manhandled him before hurling eggs at Subramanian Swamy inside the high court.

"We have photographs of the incident and we have identified some of the lawyers who led the attack against Subramaniam Swamy and the officer. We have not received any complaint from Subramaniam Swamy yet," a senior police officer said.
Just take Suo Motto action as it is a cognizable offense, what complaint are these people waiting for? It happened in front of High Court Judges, tens of Police Officers and hundreds of citizens. How many more witnesses do you want?

  14. No law and order in TN: Swamy
Swamy said he would continue to appear in court for cases relating to the attack on his party's Madurai office a few months ago and the Chidambaram dikshithars' appeal against the high court order allowing the takeover of the Nataraja temple by the state government.

He said Tamil Nadu had become a state where the provisions of the Constitution, including the freedom it guaranteed, were not enforceable due to "the atrocities committed by mercenaries of the LTTE". He suspected the hand of some political and radical outfits behind the attack on him.
Artcile 355 should be implemented and President's rule should be enforced in Tamil Nadu.

  15. Subramanian Swamy Wants Prez Rule in TN
Addressing a press conference here, Dr Swamy said he would approach the Apex Court shortly to complain about the inability of the Tamil Nadu Government to carry out day-to-day administration, as required by the Constitution and call for imposition of President's Rule in the State.

Citing Tuesday's attack against him in front of two Judges, he said even the High Court (HC) premises in the State was not "safe" and prayed to the court to get details about the steps taken by the Centre to dismiss the Tamil Nadu Government for the Constitutional breakdown and establish rule of law in the State.

Dr Swamy would also ask the Supreme Court to seek details about the steps taken by the Central and State Governments for proper functioning of Madras High Court in the State.

He demanded that 25 lawyers, who were responsible for the unruly behaviour inside the Court premises, should be arrested immediately.

Alleging that some of the advocates who attacked him belonged to naxal groups, besides Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), PMK and Dravidar Kazhagam Parties, Dr Swamy demanded they should be debarred from attending the courts.

He said the Indian national flag was burnt at least five times in the State in the recent times, educational institutions were closed and the people being taken for a ride under the pretext of organizing agitations in support of the banned LTTE and wanted to know the steps taken by the government to stop all these things in the State.

The President Rule should be imposed in the State and the next elections held under the direct control of Central security forces, he added.

This war is against Indian culture

Spread The Word

This war is against Indian culture
By Dr. Subramanian Swamy

The Islamic terrorists in India have only one goal: To convert the Dar-ul-Harab India of today into the Dar-ul-Islam of tomorrow. Judging by the secret writings in circulation amongst clerics in Saudi Arabia, the Muslim clerics consider as unacceptable the failure of 800 years of Islamic rule in India to convert India into a 100 per cent Muslim nation, as they did in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt etc.

In 1989, to obtain the release of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s daughter, Rubaiyya who had been kidnapped by terrorists, five terrorists in Indian jails were set free by the VP Singh’s government. This made these criminals in the eyes of Kashmiri separatists and fence sitters as heroes, as they had brought India’s ‘Hindu establishment’ on it’s knees.

In the case of terrorist menace, because of their ideological and religious beliefs, many terrorists place extreme value on their political objectives relative to other ends (e.g., life and property). For this reason, it appears impossible that a deterrer could hold at risk something of sufficient value to terrorists such that their behavior is affected.

Leave alone 100 per cent. Akhand Hindustan could not be converted more than 25 per cent. Thus, it was a passive victory of the Hindus and a blow to the imagined invincibility of Islam.

Hence, Islamic theologists consider the US a meddling nation that is corrupting the social morals of Muslims, Israel to represents a reversal of Islamic conquest of territory in West Asia by Jews who were hated by Prophet Mohammed, and Hindustan a challenge to the invincibility of Islam.

India has a huge population, and worse has begun to develop quickly. Thus India must be targeted by terrorising Hindus and make them to submit. The mad mullahs are thus on a rampage, and we Hindus have to wake up to the real challenge of Mumbai 26/11 and all that preceded it.

Therefore, recognising that targeting of Hindus is the political goal of the Islamic terrorists, while Muslims of India are largely just passive spectators, and that the foreign patrons of Islamic terrorists are beginning to engage in terrorist acts that could put Muslims against Hindus in nation¬wide conflagration and possible civil war as in Serbia and Bosnia, hence the first lesson to be learnt from recent history is that for tackling terrorism India should recognise that the Hindu is the target, and that Muslims of South Asia are being programmed to slide into suicide against Hindus.

The recent of Al Qaeda video tapes in Bihar seeking recruits for terrorism against the ‘;US-lsrael-India axis” is an indication of this. It is to undermine the Hindu psyche and create fear of civil war that terror attacks are organised. And hence since the Hindu is the target, Hindus must collectively respond as Hindus against the terrorist and not feel individually isolated, or worse be complacent because he or she is not personally affected. If one Hindu dies merely because he or she was a Hindu, then a bit of every Hindu also dies. This is a necessary part of an essential menial attitude of a virat Hindu [for fuller discussion of the concept of virat Hindu, see Hindus Under Siege: The Way Out, Haranand, 2006] required in formulating a deterring strategy against terrorism which is Hindu-centric in it’s targets.

Therefore we have to have a collective mindset as Hindus to stand against the terrorist. In this response, Muslims and Christians of India can join the Hindus if they genuinely feel for the Hindus. That they really do so feel, cannot be believed unless they acknowledge with pride that though they may be Muslims or Christians, their ancestors are Hindus. It is not easy for them to acknowledge this ancestry even though that is the truth, because the Muslim Mullah and Christian Missionary would consider it as unacceptable according to the Koran and the Bible.

That realisation of oneness with Hindus would also dilute the religious fervour in their faith and thus create a mental option for their possible re-conversion and return to the Hinduism. Hence, their religious leaders preach hatred and violence against the kafir and the pagan i.e.. the Hindu [for example read Chapter 8 verse 12 of the Koran] to keep the faith of their followers. The Islamic terrorist outfits, e.g., the SIMI being the latest has already resolved that India is Dar-ul-Harab. and they are committed to make it Dar-ul-Islam. That makes them free of any moral compunction whatsoever in dealing with Hindus, including in massacring them.

Bul still, if any Muslim or Christian does so acknowledge his or her Hindu legacy, then we Hindus can accept him or her as a part of the Brihad Hindu Samaj. which constitutes Hindustan. India that is Hindustan is thus a nation of Hindus and those others whose ancestors are Hindus. Even Parsi and Jews in India have Hindu ancestors. This is the true identity of India, known as Hindustan. Others, those who refuse to so acknowledge or those foreigners who become Indian citizens by registration can remain in India, but should not have voting rights [which means they cannot be elected representatives].

Hence, to begin with, any policy to combat terrorism must first begin with requiring each and every Hindu becoming collectively committed or a virat Hindu. By this it is meant that it is not enough commitment if one individually claims to be Hindu, or goes to temples, does pujas, and celebrates festivals. That is not sufficient to be a committed or virat Hindu. To be a virat Hindu one must have a Hindu mindset.

The second lesson for combating the terrorism that we face today is: since demoralising the Hindu and undermining the Hindu foundation of India in order to destroy the Hindu civilisation, is the goal of terrorists in India we must never capitulate and never concede any demand of the terrorists.

Terrorists are encouraged by appeasement but never satisfied by it. Therefore, no matter how many Hindus have to die for it, the basic policy has to be: never yield to any demand of the terrorists. That necessary resolve has not been shown in our recent history. Instead ever since we conceded Pakistan in 1947 under duress, we have been mostly yielding time and time again.

To save Rubaiyya it was not necessary to surrender to terrorist demands. There were other ways. But the then government was capitulationists in outlook, or perhaps the then Home Minister was in cahoots with the terrorists.

The third lesson to be learnt is that whatever and however small the terrorist incident, the nation must retaliate—nor by measured and”sober” responses but by massive retaliation. For example, when Ayodhya Temple was sought to be attacked, or the Institute of Science in Bangalore was targeted, these were not big terrorist incidents but we should have massively retaliated. Our Intelligence agencies keep telling us that we have clinching proof of terrorist training camps in PoK and Bangladesh, and if that is so, we should bomb them by despatching our airforce. There is some evidence that the US agency, the FBI has presented to a district court in California satellite photos that establish that five terror training camps exist near Balakot in northeast Pakistan, Indian government claims proof which has not been made public that there are 57 camps in Pakistani held territory and 36 camps in Bangladesh.

Many are advising the Hindus to deal with the root “cause” of terrorism rather than concentrating on eradicating terrorists by retaliation. And pray what is the root “cause”?

According to bleeding heart liberals, terrorists are born or bred because of illiteracy, poverty, oppression, and discrimination. They argue that instead of eliminating them, the root cause of these four disabilities in society should be removed. Only then terrorism will disappear. Moreover they argue, terrorists cannot be deterred by force since they are irrational, willing to commit suicide, and have no ‘return address’.

Searching the backgrounds of some of the world’s most notorious Muslim terrorists; we find:

* Bin Laden, the son of a Saudi billionaire, studied engineering.
* His deputy Ayman al-Zawahri is an eye surgeon.
* Mohamed Atta. the son of a lawyer, earned a master’s degree in urban planning.
* 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed graduated from an American college with an engineering degree.
* Flight 93 pilot Ziad Jarrah’s father is a Beirut bureaucrat who drove a Mercedes and put his son through prep school.

Some of the London bombers had college degrees. One was a school teacher. Another’s father owned a store.

Many of the Saudi hijackers were the best and brightest in their towns.

Hani Hanjour who crashed the plane into the Pentagon, studied English at the University of Arizona. Family members were wealthy merchants from Taif, a resort city in Saudi Arabia.

Most Palestinian suicide bombers have come from middle-class homes.

They didn’t do what they were expected to do to escape poverty.

And some of the most radical imams in America have doctorates.

Muslim Fundamentalists have an education and an economic future, yet they still terrorise hate. They’re literate enough to liberally interpret their holy books, yet they still embrace jihad against kafirs.

The fourth lesson to learn is that more than the activities of the terrorists in India, the more sinister corrosion of our nation state occurs from within. This corrosion provides ‘a force multiplier’ to the terrorists.

That is, the terrorists are able to leverage the influence of highly placed individuals in the government, media and academia, who have been compromised by the terrorists and blackmailed on sex, drug money and illegitimate favours, into collaborating with them.

One thing is for sure—terrorists in India of all hues and background have their compromised moles in the India’s establishment, and hence no anti-terrorist policy can succeed unless these fifth column elements are weeded out. The IB/RAW/MI/CRPF all have files on them and so identifying them is no problem. The political support these traitors have to withdrawn and some have to be made an example of.

It is thus a ridiculous idea that terrorists cannot be deterred because they are irrational, willing to die, and have no ‘return address. Our inference here is that terrorist master-minds have political goals and a method in their madness. An effective strategy to deter terrorism is therefore to defeat those political goals and to rubbish them by counter-terrorist action.
