Terror friendly policies of Congress Government and it's stagnated bureaucracy caused loss of lives

Spread The Word

Mumbai Attack on 11/26/2008 after other 36 major terrorist attacks in four and a half years and ignorance of over a year old specific intelligence inputs has cost this nation so many innocent lives. It is a National Disgrace that so many lives have been lost because this corrupt communal Government and it's administration is in a state of complete doldrums.

'Please boot out this disgrace of a CM by tomorrow'
The anger is directed not only at the terrorists who went on a brutal 60-hour rampage, but also at an ineffectual and corrupt political dispensation that has time and again let its citizenry down.

A plethora of SMS messages flying thick and fast over the weekend seem to target politicians the most, especially the controversial remark made by the state's home minister R R Patil, who described the Mumbai massacre as a "small incident".

‘‘We only wish the Maharashtra home minister handled homeland security with as much zeal and dedication as he did to chase the dance girls,’’ read one of the more scathing messages. Another one made a caustic comment, ‘‘R R Patil said ‘such small incidents happen’ with reference to the terror attacks. It is sad our police force spend more effort protecting politicians such as these while the common man suffers the brunt of terror attacks.’’

Even CM Vilasrao Deshmukh was not spared: ‘‘Please, please use all the might of the media, if any, to ensure this disgrace of a CM is booted out by tomorrow.’’ The presence of filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma and other hanger-ons in Deshmukh’s entourage which visited the Taj hotel on Sunday has also come under severe criticism. ‘‘They have turned this tragedy into terror tourism,’’ said an onlooker. Pune-based sports shop owner Sundeep Grover is livid, describing Patil’s comment as ‘‘ridiculous’’...

Carmichael Road resident Rajesh Jhaveri said first there is anger and rage, but then everything goes back to normal. ‘‘Look at the experience following the July 26, 2005 deluge in Mumbai. A senior bureaucrat who botched up big time not only retained his position, was later elevated by his political bosses,’’ he observed...

Civic activist Pamela Cheema lambasted the ‘‘shameful’’ anti-migrant campaign and blamed political leaders for sowing hatred. City-based archaeologist Kurush Dalal is astonished at the ‘‘absolute impotency’’ of the administration, which is the focus of people’s rage. ‘‘What do you expect when you have a home minister is figuring out which clothes to wear,’’ he asked incredulously. ‘‘The immediate reponse during such a crisis should be authoritative and absolute. Here, we had the amazing sight of NSG commandos being transported from the airport to south Mumbai in BEST buses,’’ said Dalal.

‘‘The entire machinery is paralysed. The common man is wondering what is going on. Honestly, I am totally resigned to the fact that we won’t learn any lessons mainly because no politician died,’’ he added. As one SMS said, ‘‘The real terrorists are our politicians and bureaucrats.’’
