तवं सोम पर चिकितो मनीषा तवं रजिष्ठमनु नेषि पन्थाम|
तव परणीती पितरो न इन्दो देवेषु रत्नमभजन्त धीराः||ऋग्वेद १ ९१ १||
Thou, Som, art preeminent for wisdom; along the straightest path thou art our leader.
Our wise forefathers by thy guidance, Indo, dealt out among the Gods their share of treasure.||Rk Ved 1-91-1||
